Some of the intended outcomes of the project:
•
Presence of strong and sustainable safety net, for young children and
families for timely prevention and early intervention.
•
Enhanced knowledge about services available in the region, and ways to
access those services amongst service providers and families with young
children.
•
Networks have adequate representation from government and non-government
services and disadvantaged community groups.
•
The service network has enhanced collaboration, training and networking
opportunities.
•
The Service Network has a common pool of resources for sharing.
Scope of the project
The project will:

Assist local Child and Family services to develop sustainable
networks and practices which enhance co-ordination and planning.
·
Promote the development of well co-ordinated, evidence based,
accessible and relevant services by supporting local and regional networks
of practice.
·
Support the development of new partnerships that will be formed
through these Networks and new key players will participate.
·
Work with service providers and community planners responsible for
planning and delivering services to families with children 0-8 years in the
following sub-regions of Northern Sydney:
o
Northern Beaches (LGAs of Pittwater Warringah and Manly)
o
Lower North Shore (LGAs of Mosman, North Sydney, Lane Cove and
Willoughby)
o
Ryde and Hunters Hill LGAs
o
Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai LGAs
