Families NSW Regional Network Facilitation Project (for Northern Sydney Region)

  • Families NSW Regional Network Facilitator

Background

The project is intended to enhance, support and develop sustainable Child and Family services networks across the Northern Sydney Region and embed network processes in local agencies (Local Government, Government and Non-Government Organisations). The main purpose of the project is to progress change in the way services (working with families with children 0-8 years) work together and enhance existing partnerships. The development of Networks if focused on furthering the aims of Families NSW in developing a service network that has a capacity to:

  • deal holistically with needs of the families;

  • provide coordinated support in collaboration with the family and with other agencies; and

  • provide better access to early support at the time families need it and in forms that are most helpful to them.

The Networks will assist local Child and Family services to develop sustainable networks and practices which enhance coordination and planning, as well as individual, organizational and network capacity. This project will work with service providers and community planners responsible for planning and delivering services to families with children 0-8 years in the four sub-regions of Northern Sydney (Northern Beaches, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai, Ryde Hunters Hill, and Lower North Shore).
